The Point Debit Card offers 5X points on subscriptions, 3X points on deliveries and rideshares, and 1X points on everything else in addition to a variety of card benefits like purchase insurance, trip cancelation insurance, no international travel fees, and a virtual Point Card number.
Plus, you can earn 10,000 bonus points ($100 value) on your new Point Card when you spend $1,000 within 30 days of registering.
To earn the $100 Point Card bonus, you must sign up through a current member’s referral link, and you can access a Point Card referral link below that was provided by a reader.
Through the Point Card Refer-A-Friend Program, you can earn an additional 10,000 bonus points ($100 value) for each new member that you refer who spends $1,000 on their Point Card within 30 days of sign-up.
However, there is a $49 annual fee for the Point Card, but there is no credit check required to join, and you can cancel your Point Card subscription at any time.
With this special $100 bonus offer, you will still qualify for a $51 bonus after the $49 annual fee is debited from your account, so it’s still a good deal if you are interested in using the Point Card.

Point Card $100 Referral Link
A special thank you goes out to Gadget for providing this Point Card $100 Referral Link (use Referral Code “MBAUMAN9” during sign-up on the app) that you can use to earn this $100 bonus offer when you sign up for a new Point Card. You can also review Gadget’s notes below about how he quickly qualified for this promotion.
The Point Card gives unlimited cash back on debit plus amazing benefits. When you sign up with my invite link and spend $1,000 within 30 days, you’ll get 10,000 points ($100).
Signup/application is relatively simple but must be done after clicking through the link on a mobile device. Not sure if was a phone issue, or Android, but when you select your birthday, start with the year. If you try Month/Day before year, it won’t save.
The app shows the referral code next to the $49 annual fee cost when you are applying (i.e., MBAUMAN9).
The primary method of funding is done through Plaid. So, you have to be comfortable with providing your bank login to Plaid. Looks like my transfer will be there Tuesday, which I went ahead and setup (100 points awards = $1).
But, I wanted to see how fast I could get this done. I decided to link Cash App by adding my Point virtual debit card to Cash App, then did an instant withdrawal of $101.52 from Cash App (paid $1.52 fee). That pushed $100 to the Point app in a few minutes. The $49 annual membership fee was removed instantly, leaving my balance at $51.
I then used the Point Virtual card for a $1.00 Amazon reload, so I see the charge pending, and one point earned. I ASSUME when the charge actually posts, they will credit the 10,000 points.
I did notice that the referrals screen in-app is listing the requirement for $1000 spend. I think since this is a flash deal/limited time offer, only good this week, the app does not reflect it.
This marks the end of Gadget’s notes.
Point Card $100 Refer-A-Friend Rewards

Watch out for the sneakiness of this company. They switch my account back to the original referral program out of nowhere today. My last referral signed up on April 14th past the original deadline and before the 28th. Got my referral payment today and notice the referral page switched back to the original offer. I text them and they say that my referrals have to spend 1K. I said as of this morning my page still said first purchase and I confirmed via chat that I had an extension until the 28th. Now they’re asking their team why it may have switched. Ok. You’re making me look like a liar. I’ll edit if they come back and keep their word and fix my referrals back

Update: Yeah, shady beyond belief. I shared with them a screenshot of the conversation where I asked about the special referral extension and they told me yes. They’re not very good liars either as they claim that they were referring to the original $1,000 referral program extension. If you read the turd is not even over until the end of June so what are they even talking about. Refer as many people as you can as quickly as you can before you end up like me.

Please note that the expiration date for this promotion is now April 28, 2021, as indicated within the app, which you can see in the image that is posted at the top of this article.

After playing around with signing up my wife, I think I have the simplest method to get the $100.
How to get the 10K points in less than 24 hours:
1. Apply for a Point Account – you must use a phone and install the app. The referral code you used appears with the terms next to the annual fee amount.
2. Setup funding with Plaid. You earn 100 Points. ($1)
3. Tap the gift box tab in the app. Verify you have the Earn 10,000 points attached to your account by swiping left twice on the Invite Friends image.
4. Tap Redeem for Cash and convert the 100 Points into $1.
5. Use the Point App virtual card to buy a $1 Amz reload, which earns 1 point. (smaller reload might work too)
6. Depend on how long the pending charge takes to post, you will get a push notification from the app: “First purchase complete – 10,000 points issued”.
You can cash the 10,001 points out instantly and will have $100.01 in your account. Because you haven’t officially funded, they do not pull the $49 fee yet. Personally, I am not going to advise skipping out on the funding, but you do you.
Keep in mind the first purchase 10K referral offer ends at 11:59PM PDT, April 10, 2021.

Edit to my comments above: I was able to work with customer service over email and get everything worked out. One note is make sure your deposit is including the instant transaction fee to total over $100 to ensure proper crediting of the points. All told however I was pleasantly proved wrong and everything worked out perfectly with my purchase being credited and 10,000 points were rewarded this morning which translated to $100 cash back automatically! Thank you for the referral- This deal is AWESOME!!!

I am not sure if this is a scam or a hoax hopefully it is not but first of all you cannot reach a live agent at all regardless of any number you attempt to call and the number they list 650 area code does not allow you to speak with anybody so is a bit disconcerting in that I do the deposit and made a charge although I only see one x the amount of points and don’t show any of the bonuses for either funding my account or for the purchase being made so hopefully I didn’t just get hoodwinked for $49 out of the scam but that’s far I am not all too optimistic and hoping I didn’t get screwed.
Gadget says
The official contact method is through the app. Email them at help (at) point.app or reach them via TEXT message at (650) 539-2701.
The normal bonuses should show up under the app gift box icon in the app, however, the special promo 10K points does not show there though. When you view that tab, an “Invite your friends to Point.” picture should appear. Swipe left to see the other bonuses – 200 funding, 100 first purchase, etc. Takes a while for the bonuses to post.
I opened 4/3, and still waiting for my Plaid funding, and was finally pulled from my bank today, 4/7.
