You can remain completely anonymous when you search for a new healthcare plan through KindHealth, as you are not required to provide any personally identifying information or create an account.
You simply provide some details like your age, location and tobacco usage, and KindHealth will show you all of your insurance options and provide you with a free quote.
Once you get your health insurance through KindHealth, they will also act as your free 24/7 health advocate to help you with insurance issues like billing errors, procedure estimates, and even scheduling doctor appointments.
KindHealth is an official partner of HealthCare.gov, and they offer more options than the Exchange, so it’s definitely a good place to start if you are looking for an affordable health insurance plan.
You may also wish to use the Joany Health Insurance Concierge Service to earn an extra $50 bonus reward when you enroll in a new health insurance plan.
KindHealth’s Altrua HealthShare Plan
KindHealth also offers access to a plan known as HealthShare, which is not an insurance plan, but may be better than insurance for some situations.
HealthShare plans are non-profit organizations that save their members thousands of dollars in unnecessary healthcare costs, and its members are exempt from the Affordable Care Act mandate, taxes, and penalties.
Members of Altrua HealthShare pay a monthly contribution that goes into an escrow account.
When you go to the doctor, you present your Membership ID card when medical services are received, and your doctor submits the medical need to Altrua HealthShare.
Altrua HealthShare then pays the doctor from the escrow account for the services performed.
HealthShare provides individuals, couples, families, churches, and organizations a way to contribute to healthcare for one another.
A family of 4 could purchase the lowest level plan from Altrua HealthShare for less than $400 per month, so they can be very affordable when compared to traditional healthcare plans.
KindHealth Referral Program $50 Cash Rewards
KindHealth offers a referral program where you can earn a $50 bonus reward when you refer new health insurance applicants to KindHealth.
It’s important to note that while anybody can join KindHealth’s referral program, whether you are a current customer or not, it is set up more like an affiliate program than a traditional customer referral program.
You’ll receive a $50 cash bonus from KindHealth for every individual that you refer who completes a major medical application.
When you refer another affiliate to their referral program and they have an applicant who submits an application, you’ll earn $25 for each of their applicants as well.
Once you sign up for your KindHealth Referral Account, you can log in and share referrals with your friends, family and associates.
However, you can only refer new individuals through their online portal form, as they don’t provide any type of referral links or affiliate links for you to share.
All of your KindHealth referral rewards will be paid out via a direct deposit to your checking account.
All payments are 1-time payments and will be paid out 1 month (30 days) after the Open Enrollment Period (EOP) ends.
You’ll need to sign their affiliate agreement, sign a W-9 form for taxes, and submit your checking account and bank routing number in order to receive the direct deposits of your referral rewards.
KindHealth does not offer the new customer any type of incentive to use your referral when they apply for a new health insurance plan, but you could always offer to share your referral bonus with your friends and family if they are shopping for healthcare.
There is no limit to the amount of referral bonuses that you can earn for sharing KindHealth with your friends and family.
If you are interested in shopping for new health insurance plans and would like to receive a special $25 reward for completing an application through KindHealth during the Open Enrollment Period, please feel free to email MaximizingMoney@gmail.com, and I will show you how to earn an extra $25 when you complete a new health insurance plan application. The dates for open enrollment for 2018 are November 1, 2018 โ December 15, 2018. Unless you’re in California, the dates for open enrollment are October 15, 2018 โ January 15, 2019.

Jana says
Altrua is NOT an “Alternative Insurance Plan” – it is NOT insurance, at all. It is 501(c)(3) charity that accepts membership (like a church) whereby members help pay for a portion of one another’s incurred medical bills.
To say it is an insurance plan, even with the modifier “alternative” is illegal and untrue.

Hello Jana,
Thank you very much for your comment and insights.
Even though I do state in the first paragraph of the Altrua section that it is not an insurance plan, I do see how using the phrase “alternative insurance plan” is confusing and an incorrect way to characterize it.
I’ve removed that phrase from the above article to avoid any further issues.
Thank you again for your help.
