Kroger’s 1-2-3 Rewards Prepaid Card with $20 Tax Refund Direct Deposit Bonus

The Visa Prepaid Debit Card with 1-2-3 Rewards lets you earn rewards on all of your card purchases, save on gas purchases at Kroger Family of Stores Fuel Center locations, and get a $20 bonus for setting up a direct deposit of your tax refund.

You can purchase a Temporary card at any register in participating Kroger’s stores, but you must then register for a Personalized card in order to earn rewards, save on gas, and get the $20 direct deposit bonus for your tax refund.

The Personalized card does have a $3 monthly maintenance fee and a $3 fee for cash reloads, but direct deposits are free, and you can earn rewards on all of your card purchases, which will help to offset the monthly maintenance fee.

$20 Bonus for Direct Deposit of Tax Refund

Once you receive your Visa Prepaid Debit Card with 1-2-3 Rewards in the mail, you can get a $20 credit for setting up a direct deposit of your tax refund.

Technically, it looks like this $20 bonus will be applied for a direct deposit from your employer as well, but they are advertising it for tax refunds.

The 1-time $20 credit will be applied within 30 days after a successful first direct deposit is made to a Personalized card account by May 31, 2017.

This offer is not valid for existing accounts receiving a direct deposit.

Earning 1-2-3 Rewards with Your Visa Prepaid Debit Card

Only the Personalized card can earn rewards, so you must register for your Personalized card after you purchase your Temporary card if you wish to earn rewards.

The Visa Prepaid Debit Card with 1-2-3 Rewards gives you unlimited rewards:

• 1 Point Per $1 On All Purchases with the Card.
• 2 Points Per $1 Spent Inside 1 of the Kroger Family of Stores.
• 3 Points Per $1 Spent on Kroger’s Own Family of Brands.

For every 1,000 points that you earn, you’ll receive $5 in free groceries.

When you accumulate 1,000 points, you will be issued a $5 electronic coupon.

The electronic coupons are awarded monthly and can be used for discounts off a qualifying Kroger purchase.

Your coupons can be redeemed throughout participating stores within the Kroger Family of Stores: Kroger, Dillons, Fry’s, Smith’s, King Soopers, and QFC.

Your coupons can only be used on purchases of equal or greater value than the coupon being used.

The coupons expire 12 months from the month in which they are issued to you.

5 Cents Per Gallon Discount at Fuel Centers

You’ll save an extra 5 cents per gallon at Kroger Family of Stores Fuel Centers when you use your Visa Prepaid Debit Card with 1-2-3 Rewards.

You can use your fuel discount at all Kroger Family of Stores Fuel Centers: Kroger, Dillons, Fry’s, Smith’s, King Soopers, and QFC.

The fuel discount requires a minimum $100 of in-store spending on qualifying purchases at the Kroger Family of Stores.

Purchases made at Kroger Family of Stores Fuel Centers do not earn rewards points or fuel points.

In addition, when you use your Personalized card and scan the shopper’s card bar code on the back, the existing fuel rewards that you have earned will be increased by $0.05 per gallon.
